2021 Administrative Spotlight

Our talented Administrative Team works hard every day to support our daily operations as a top in-home care agency. Meet each of these talented individuals and learn all about their work with our spotlight blog!

 

  • Tell me a little bit about what you do? I’m the primary point of contact for all branches. I work directly with the COO to ensure daily operations are running efficiently, assist the executive team on operational projects, and provide solutions to operational issues that may arise in day-to-day work. I also collaborate with our controller to ensure operational costs are maintained within our annual budgets. 
  • What’s your favorite thing about being an Operations Manager? I love projects and taking care of them in a timely manner. I have learned a lot working directly with branches and assisting them to make each day a good and productive day. 
  • How long have you been an Operations Manager at ESC? I have been an Operations Manager for over a year, but I have been with En Su Casa for over 10 years. 
  • What’s rewarding about your job? Being able to assist all the branches with any problems they encounter to ensure they have a productive day. 
  • What do you like to do in your spare time (not work related)? I love to bike ride, garden, listen to music (classic rock and blues), and catching astonishing sunsets! 

 

  • Tell me a little bit about what you do? I verify client eligibility and manage authorization entry/renewals. 
  • What’s your favorite thing about being an Authorizations Specialist? I love that I get to work with our team to ensure client services continue with minimum interruption. 
  • How long have you been an Authorizations Specialist at ESC? 4.5 years 
  • What’s rewarding about your job? It’s a detail-oriented job that requires communication with the rest of the team to work. I’m glad to know that for the most part everything runs smooth because of our efforts. 
  • What do you like to do in your spare time (not work related)? I enjoy indoor gardening and taking my little one out for adventures. 

 

  • Tell me a little bit about what you do? I’m the administrative assistant for our corporate and financial branch. I assist our branch with clerical duties such as answering and directing phone calls, assisting visitors, collate and distribute mail and packages, and maintain office cleanliness. I also assist our COO and CCO on various tasks and projects. I also coordinate administrative events, volunteer activities, and conduct and analyze results for our annual client satisfaction surveys. 
  • What’s your favorite thing about being an Administrative Assistant? There is always something different to do. It keeps work interesting and it keeps me busy. 
  • How long have you been an Administrative Assistant at ESC? I have been with ESC for over 2 years. I started off as an Intern and I have been an Administrative Assistant for a little over a year. 
  • What’s rewarding about your job? I enjoy working for a company who has a mission to help individuals, especially the elderly, who are in need of assistance with daily living. 
  • What do you like to do in your spare time (not work related)? In my spare time I like to play video games, tend to my new vegetable garden, and be with friends. 

 

  • Tell me a little bit about what you do? I compile all transactions related to the business into different reports and dashboards to help tell a story of how the business is performing. 
  • What’s your favorite thing about being a Controller? My favorite thing is being able to get raw data and be able to turn it into a clean spreadsheet that can tell the story of what has happened. 
  • How long have you been a Controller at ESC? With ESC only 2 months, but looking forward to many more! 
  • What’s rewarding about your job? Helping the business grow and working as a team with the common goal of taking care of the company. Being able to tie my numbers, balancing and checking things off is my favorite part of my day. 
  • What do you like to do in your spare time (not work related)? I like to enjoy a nice night out with adults only – to relax.

 

  • Tell me a little bit about what you do? As the Billing Specialist, my key position is in the Revenue Cycle, I manage all claims process, including accurate and timely claim creation and follow-up with providers and insurance inquiries. 
  • What’s your favorite thing about being a Billing Specialist? That I have the knowledge of understanding how important my job is. It takes great attention to detail, being organized, personality, integrity, analytical, and problem solving skills. 
  • How long have you been a Billing Specialist at ESC? I have been a Billing Specialist at ESC for 4 years and 11 months. 
  • What’s rewarding about your job? What is rewarding about my job is the flexible work environment, ability to make a difference and sense of independence. 
  • What do you like to do in your spare time (not work related)? On my spare time I like to spend time with my puppy Bella, barbecue, cook for my husband and dad, and I like to go on road trips on weekends.

 

  • Tell me a little bit about what you do? I do payroll for our Salary, Admin, & Home Providers. I also take care of all insurance, Verification of Employment, TWC/Unemployment, Work Opportunity Tax Credits, Child Support and Student Loan Garnishments, and Bonus & Incentive Programs. 
  • What’s your favorite thing about being a Payroll Specialist? I like interacting with my co-workers from all the branches. I love accounting, so I love my job. 
  • How long have you been a Payroll Specialist at ESC? 1 year and 10 months exactly. 
  • What’s rewarding about your job? I feel like I get to participate in team environment for a company that does a lot of good in our community. 
  • What do you like to do in your spare time (not work related)? I like to travel, it’s been limited to road trips due to COVID. However, we keep a savings account and can’t wait for our next big trip – Greece. I also love working on my yard and going to the gym. My grandchildren take up a lot of my spare time and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
